Steve Deace is a dunce, and Carly Fiorina a survivor, but no way a good choice for president..

On his site, Steve Deace picked as a winner this week political booger Carly Fiorina, based on his ten commandments that neo-con’s must adhere to in order to gain his plumpish praise. She hit 50%, so he must not be too picky. So, before it appears the author is being snotty, it must be said that Fiorina’s chances at being POTUS are slim, but she is definitely a survivor in her own way. In 2009, Fiorina was diagnosed with breast cancer, undergoing a double mastectomy, followed by chemo and radiation therapy, but given “an excellent prognosis for a full recovery”, and was even able to reflect on the unpleasantness associated with cancer humorously during her 2010 campaign attempt to unseat Ca.’s Barbra Boxer: “I have to say that after chemotherapy, Barbara Boxer just isn’t that scary anymore.” She’s also said recently that drug addiction shouldn’t be criminalized, having lost one of her 2 stepdaughters to addiction. But it’s the neo-con, money driven side of Fiorina that is of concern, the fact she just isn’t a viable candidate, and because the dunce says she is. Everyone fails some, she fails a lot. So, for the sake of space and spelling, Carly Fiorina will be referred to as F, and Steve Deace as D for the rest of this piece.

In April of this year, F remarked about California’s drought and the issue of climate change: “This is all about politics and policy, and it is liberal environmentalists who have brought us this tragedy,” adding, “California is a classic case of liberals being willing to sacrifice other people’s lives and livelihoods at the altar of their ideology. It’s a tragedy.” As for RFRA related issues, she’s said: “People of religious conviction know that marriage is a religious institution with a spiritual foundation because only a man and a woman can create life, which is a gift that comes from God…. We must protect their rights as well.” , but doesn’t seem to be the ‘Huckish’ type having said, “I think the Supreme Court ruling will become the law of the land, and however much I may agree or disagree with it, I wouldn’t support an amendment to reverse it… “

When one runs for president, it’s not for one weak of heart, or one lacking of funds. F’s got some money management issues, to say the least. She’s rich, not Koch head rich, but has an estimated wealth of up to $120 million and a $6.1 million shanty in northern Virginia. It was recently reported that she still owed close to $500,000 in unpaid compensation to campaign staffers and outside consultants from her attempt to bounce Boxer. That’s more than four years she owed for her Senate campaign, only settling the outstanding debts two months before getting into the 2016 race. She took over Hewlett-Packard in 1999, but was forced to resign after 5 1/2 years, (engineered a $25 billion acquisition of Compaq followed by approximately 30,000 layoffs, stock dropped 65% during her tenure). On the way out, she received $14 million in severance pay, a $7.38 million bonus for meeting certain performance goals in 2004 and at the time stood to gain $21.1 million, the estimated value of her pension, stock options and Hewlett stock holdings. She stated on a Sunday ‘news’ show in March that the current president didn’t deserve credit for boosting the economy and that her CEO experience in the private sector lends to “a deep understanding of how the economy works, having started as a secretary and become the executive of the largest technology company in the world” and that the 30,000 jobs lost were “..Democratic talking points because it was not all American jobs, but of course, laying people off is the last resort.” But using CEO as her past job title may be upsetting to F: “In the world that I come from, a title’s just a title…. Why are we so impressed with political titles? A senator is a title. Secretary of state is a title. What has anyone accomplished with their title?”  Uh..too easy. So, it seems she does pretty good managing her own money, but others, maybe not, especially if you work for her or provide a service and expect a timely payment for said services.carly1

With all this, one would think it’s time to move on to D. Not yet. F worked for John McCains failed presidential campaign as an economic adviser, defended the selection of Sarah ‘grandma’ Palin as McCain’s running mate, failed to register with the Internal Revenue Service or the state attorney general’s charitable trust division her Fiorina Foundation, failed to vote in most elections and accepted large contributions from the coal industry.

D feels F’s this weeks winner because she hit 50% of his commandments. Number 5 twice. In a nutshell, she bought the .org domain names of 2 tv show hosts, and during an interview on CNN, regarding the ‘Draw Mohammed’ shooting in Texas ‘credited Obama for calling this “terrorism,” while also specifically noting all the other times he’s tried to avoid calling terrorism what it is’ and ‘refused to take the bait when pressed to condemn the organizers of the event’.patriot2steve deace..neo-con

D’s ‘about’ section on his page is just plain weird. It’s hard to tell if it’s humorously self-deprecating, or sadly true and creepy. In brief, ‘he knows way more about superheroes, Star Wars & Star Trek, and college football than any man not living under a vow of perpetual virginity in his mom’s basement should, he’s not that educated, believes the Bible is literally true and he managed to find a woman that would put up with him’. An article he authored in February questions whether or not President Barack Hussein Obama really is a Christian, and it’s a real ride thru derpville. Among the quotes of scripture are gems of structure error, the whole thing a mish-mash of ‘Leftist media’ trouncing. For the sake of time and space, this author was not going to quote directly from said mish-mash, but some things just happen to avail themselves, in or out of context, for better or worse. In closing, D says:For now my work here is finished. On the other hand, the work of God-haters who will viciously demagogue what I just wrote, without supplying any rational basis for their assertions..” blah blah blah ..I’m sure is just beginning.”  The beginning was before the end, right after the 3rd lifted Bible quote: “Jesus commands us not to murder, yet Mr. Obama is the most pro-murder president we have ever had (including voting against a bill to protect babies who survive abortions while in the Illinois State Legislature).” Tough babies in that Legislature…dunce.ngbbs4cb67a53375d4bl & wh dunce
