Former detective & current Fox News pundit Bo Dietl, has done a lot, and said a lot. He’s one of the most highly decorated past members of the NYPD, with several thousand arrests to his credit, (retiring after being injured in a sky-diving accident), ran for Congress with a .38-caliber handgun strapped to his left ankle in ’86, (Asseblyman Waldon, a former Housing Authority police officer said of Bo D.- ”This young man is running amok, thinking he can throw somebody up against a wall, pat him down and get a bill passed. He’s like Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson and the James Gang rolled into one.”)*, was one of 11 alleged crooked cops named by mob turncoat John Alite to have fed inside information to the Gambino family (“I was not some corrupt cop.”), and concerning the death of Eric Garner wrote: “Garner was 6-foot-3 and 350 pounds. Using a headlock to bring down a man of that size was appropriate. Headlocks are used in thousands of arrests each year, especially of individuals not cooperating with the police. I used the maneuver in dozens of arrests.”**
So, unsurprisingly, (possibly due to professional superciliousness) Bo Dietl had to interject his own speculative verbal spewing concerning the arrest and eventual death of Baltimore resident Freddie Gray. Dietl feels there was the probability that Gray had been high during his arrest, causing him to act recklessly and create his own injuries. He said on Fox and Friends: “What happened in Baltimore — I used to be a homicide detective. I had guys I locked up, would bang their heads on the cell doors until their heads opened up. And when they were bleeding, I had to take them to the hospital.” Gray suffered a fatal spinal injury on April 12 while being transported in a police van. As of the right now, Baltimore’s chief prosecutor has charged six police officers with crimes including murder and manslaughter in the arrest and fatal injury of Freddie Gray.
Dietl’s a dolt, and the ilk he supports/shields will be outed/ostracized. He is no expert on anything except diverting his view sharing audience away from what the facts really are regarding questionable police activities. He is so wrong in this incident. Remember what he said of the shooting of teenager Michael Brown: “bullets go that way”. Fuck him & fuck Arby’s....
But, about his drug dissertations…….
